About Us
I was a NY State licensed pet dealer & I am retired now & have a few litters a year to offset the cost of dog food & vet care, and live in North Port, FL. The parents are my personal pets. I just love the Yorkshire Terrier breed.
We offer CKC purebred registered for free & AKC, ACA for an additional amount.
I don't normally ship pups or dogs although I have had clients from NY fly down to pick up a puppy. I will drive up to an hr. to help with the delivery . Our Yorkies are brought up in a home setting.
The smaller the yorkie, the more undeveloped immune systems and sometimes the more problems. That's why we don't sell our pups until they are older than 8 -12 weeks . Everyone wants these little "teacup size" yorkies.

The problem is when you keep breeding down the size of the yorkie, you get really tiny pups that sometimes die within hours of birth since the tiny ones only weigh 1-2 oz. at birth. Our females are larger (5-7 lb.) dams mated with tiny (4 lb.)sires, which gives us a healthy litter of some tiny & some normal size 5-7 lb. yorkies that weigh 4-5 oz. at birth.
Our prices are higher for the tiny ones, since we have a year into buying & raising the parent pair, and mating them only 1x a year, and then sometimes only having one small pup, which we keep longer (12 weeks) & give more (3) puppy shots & veterinary check up care.
We have adapted our polices to protect us and the buyer to acquire a healthy companion for the about next 15 years or more. Our pups are limited purebred licenses which means you cannot register a future litter from them without private approval. We prefer not to sell our dogs to breeders unless we know them since we want to make sure they aren't caged & used just for breeding (puppy milling).

Our pups are socialized with immediately, so they are very affectionate. Their playpen/exercise pen environment provides paper training on one side, with food & water & sleep bed on the other, so paper training has already been started since birth. We groom them with a bath & nails cut 1x a week from 4 weeks of age, so nail cutting & bathing is a normal routine to them by the time they leave for their new forever home.
Currently we are supplementing our brood with homemade dog food & snacks for better nutrition, & we'll be happy to share the recipes with you.

The puppy package including information, vet & shot record, and a sample of the food they have been brought up on. Puppies are to paid for in full at 8 weeks old. Extra small puppies may have to stay longer until they weigh 1&1/2 lbs.
A change in food can give them diarrhea and since they don't weigh much they can become dehydrated & can go downhill fast. Changing their food can be done over a period of time, 2 weeks we suggest, blending the new food into their current food & increasing the amount daily until they are entirely on the desired product.
Most of our buyers come see their pup, and leave a deposit. It gives us a chance to prepare the pup for the big transition. At the time of deposit we give you a list of references for your approval, so our previous buyers aren't bothered unless the potential buyers are serious. All important, the parent's of the pup are here for you to meet & handle. When ready we separate the pup from the litter mates at night, so the adjustment to their new home won't be so dramatic. Since many of our new owners live further away, we drive & meet you up to an hr. away in a convenient location for the final delivery. Deposit can be made by cash, check, money order, paypal (ask for address), & is non-refundable with the balance due in cash only.

As a breeder we cannot guarantee the color or size your puppy will be as an adult. We have the parents here for you to meet which is your best indication. We will provide you with a weight chart of what they are currently weighing verses what the expected adult weight will be as a guide.
We do sell older pup/dog occasionally, and there are many advantages in buying an older pup. You can clearly see the size they will be full grown, and their personality, and they have already been trained to go outside, and they have all their shots, and they are completely socialized. Their life expectancy is 12-15 years.
If we have newborn pups that are nursing, we want the only the person interested in buying the puppy to come as we don't want to introduce any germs to the environment until the pups have their first shots at 6 weeks old, but you can view them on-line & leave a refundable deposit to hold them until old enough to see. We have heard horrible stories of breeders having parvos virus & puppies die. We have never encountered parvo.
Much like having a human infant, there are sickness that occur during their upbringing. The most important thing is knowing, recognizing & proper timely treatment. Few infants get through their first year without a cold, fever, flu, or virus, and such as for puppies.
Common ailments of puppies are hypoglycemia, worms, diarrhea, and fungal infections which with proper treatment can be healed & not returned as adults. We deworm our pups at 4 weeks of age & every 2 weeks after up to 12 weeks old, and then given a few days before they leave. Hypoglycemia is a drop in blood sugar which occurs in toy breeds, pups need feeding 4 times a day to prevent. Nutri-cal supplement is a high calorie paste given to our puppies until they are 16 weeks old to prevent Hypoglycemia.
We don't groom other animals, board, or allow people to bring their pets into our home. This is to protect our pets and their pups. We will ask you to to disinfect your hands before handling a pup during the showing, and to be in sitting position as not to drop a pup. We will not allow children to handle our pups. We don't have any cats or other animals that roam outside & could potentially bring in germs into our breeding environment.
